Friday Pop Quiz #343

The correct answer is D. Trichoblastoma.

Nevus sebaceous is a benign hamartoma often seen on the scalp and face. Trichoblastoma is the most common secondary neoplasm identified within nevus sebaceous.

Basal cell carcinoma, Trichilemmoma, and poroma may be seen within a nevus sebaceous, however they do not occur as frequently as a trichoblastoma.

Melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma are less likely to be associated with a nevus sebaceous.
