JDD July Issue Highlights | Skin of Color Issue

The July issue of the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology (JDD) focuses on skin of color topics with the perfect mix of original articles, case reports, brief communications, and letters to the editor. Among many of the topics explored in this issue are skin of color dermatology on TikTok, disparities in melanoma recognition in skin of color, diversity in acne clinical trials, dermatologists at skin of color clinics, and many more.  Check out this month’s issue highlights straight from the JDD Editor’s desk:

Skin of Color Skin Care Needs: Results of a Multi-Center-Based Survey collects data in 2020 from participants at SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

A total of 19 subjects ranging in age from 12 to 58 years complete the 12-week study in Efficacy and Safety of Tazarotene Lotion, 0.045% in the Treatment of Truncal Acne Vulgaris.

Skin of Color in Dermatology: Analysis of Content and Engagement on TikTok concludes that SOC posts fall behind other creators on the social media platform.
