Ndidi Enwereji, MD, MPH

Ndidi Enwereji, MD, MPH, is a PGY-3 dermatology resident at Wayne Dermatology in Detroit, Michigan, where she is actively engaged in both clinical care and academic scholarship. She completed her Transitional Year at Henry Ford Hospital and earned her medical degree with a Global Health Distinction from the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine. She also holds a Master of Public Health from Thomas Jefferson University, where she graduated with academic honors.

Dr. Enwereji’s academic interests center on inflammatory skin disease, skin of color dermatology, and health equity. Her research spans a wide range of topics including hidradenitis suppurativa, vitiligo, and the gut-skin axis, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Dermatologic Clinics, Clinics in Dermatology, and JAAD International. She is particularly passionate about understanding patient perspectives and improving access to dermatologic care.

Beyond research, she is deeply committed to mentorship, advocacy, and education. She serves as a mentor through the Skin of Color Society and National Medical Association Dermatology section and has held multiple leadership roles focused on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in medicine.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and coffee shops, hiking, fitness, and creative pursuits like hairstyling and plant care.
